-
you would like to feel part of a small, supportive community of fellow local writers
-
you want to learn a variety of writing techniques
-
you'd like to explore ideas, thoughts and feelings - safely and at your own pace
-
you want to gain insight into who you are
-
you want to live a more fulfilling and productive life and increase your joy or happiness level
Writing can be a useful way of ordering our emotions and bearing witness to significant events. Writing can offer a way of simultaneously going deep into ourselves and, paradoxically, be a means of escaping from an inner chatter that can be distracting or disturbing.
The goal is towards integration and acceptance of all the different parts of ourselves; towards becoming happy with who and what we are, and what we potentially can become.
Writing helps us find or forge a connection with the vital personal thoughts and experiences of our own lives.
Expressive writing is essentially “writing to heal mind, body and soul”.
