Creative counselling can improve mental, emotional, and psychological well-being

I trained in integrative art psychotherapy at the Institute for Arts and Therapy in Education (IATE) in London, and now work as a BACP-registered creative counsellor one to one in person, in group settings, and online.

Counsellling using the arts is suitable for a wide variety of clients, and may suit those who find talking therapy alone difficult. Also known as art therapy, this kind of counselling can significantly improve mood and help clients deal with stress, depression and anxiety.

Creative counselling encourages self-exploration and self-acceptance, with clients expressing thoughts and feelings through the creative process instead of just through verbal communication. Image making can enable profound insights into unhelpful patterns of behaviour and issues.

“I leave each session feeling lighter, more connected, and more confident…”
